Community Projects

From planting native species, clearing trails, and maintaining Weekapaug landmarks like the Weekapaug Inlet to providing guided nature walks, farm dinners, and get-togethers hosted with our partners, the Foundation is dedicated to preserving and restoring our community.

Scholarship Fund

In honor of our beloved trustee, Richard Dumouchel, the Foundation awards one URI student with a scholarship to pursue an education in environmental studies or conservation.

Noyes Neck Forest Trail

The WFC has opened a pedestrian trail through the forest from Noyes Neck Road to the Community Garden, allowing pedestrians to walk inside the stone walls and off a busy Noyes Neck Road. Walkers can now continue their walk along the stone wall or on the path around the farm field: Farm Trail. One can also choose the path through Nushka Preserve. Trees have been marked to delineate the trail: Forest Trail.
WFC plans to continue these activities to create a trail network at Noyes Neck farm for our members to enjoy.
