The 16 Knowles Ave Preserve consists of a mix of upland wetland and transitional wetland habitats. The stated purpose in the easement is to “assure that the Premises will be retained forever in a manner that will protect and maintain their scenic and open space condition”. The property is a characterized by the presence of native plants such as Beach Plum, Beach Rose, Shadbush, Winterberry and Goldenrods and a refuge for animals including House Sparrow and New England Cottontail rabbit.
