The Weekapaug Foundation for Conservation is dedicated to protecting and enhancing open land and clean water in Westerly and Charlestown.
Conservation
We purchase or establish protections on open land and waterways to prevent development and maintain natural habitats.
Community
We plant native species, clear trails, maintain landmarks and host community get-togethers to foster connection with our natural world.
Education
Through two scholarship funds, the WFC supports two University of Rhode Island students pursuing an education in conservation
Recent Projects
Noyes Neck Farm Trail
The WFC opened a pedestrian trail through the forest from Noyes Neck Road to the Community Garden, allowing visitors to walk inside the stone walls and off a busy Noyes Neck Road. WFC plans to expand the trail network at Noyes Neck farm for the community to enjoy.
